The house and property were spotless, cozy, and provided plenty of space. Everything was top-notch, with so many fun activities to choose from! While the zip line wasn’t operational, it didn’t matter much since we likely wouldn’t have used it. We took the short hike to the waterfall just off the property, and it was absolutely gorgeous and vibrant! The outdoor fireplace was a real highlight, and the location was ideal—just a short distance from downtown Highlands. We truly appreciate the opportunity to stay—thank you!
The cabin was roomy and well-equipped, with plenty of kitchen tools, towels, and other essentials. We appreciated that pets were allowed, though we did notice a few spots with visible pet stains. Unfortunately, we ran into some trouble when we first arrived—the entry code didn’t work, and it took about 30 minutes to get in touch with the owner. After a long day of cross-country travel with small kids, this made for a tough start since it was quite late when we arrived. That said, the cabin's location was great, and there was more than enough space for our large family.
This property was perfect for our group of 8! The main house offered plenty of space for everyone to relax but still had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The amenities were fantastic—we especially enjoyed the fireplaces, hot tub, and game room. The kitchen was a highlight, with two ovens that made preparing meals for our large group so much easier. Although the house feels wonderfully secluded, it’s still a short distance from Highlands, which was a great bonus. Thank you, Marty, for sharing your lovely home!

Hello from Marty Bush and the Lott/Bush family!
Our family’s love for vacation homes began in the 1970s with a small beachfront cottage on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Over the years, that tradition grew to include special places in Park City, Utah, and Lake Martin, Alabama — each one a place where family and friends gathered, relaxed, and created memories together.
When we discovered Lotts of Sky in Highlands, North Carolina, we immediately felt something special. Surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this home offered the perfect combination of nature, comfort, and the kind of welcoming spaces where people naturally come together.
We have always believed that a vacation home is more than just a place to stay — it is where stories are shared, meals are enjoyed, and memories are made. We are excited to share Lotts of Sky with you and hope your time here becomes part of your own family’s story.
When visiting Highlands, our family enjoys exploring the area’s incredible hiking trails and natural beauty, including Whiteside Mountain, one of our favorite nearby adventures.
Welcome to Lotts of Sky. We hope you love it as much as we do.
