High Rock Haven is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury log cabin that sleeps up to 9 people comfortably. We are located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our cabin is especially suited for larger groups and is an ideal spot for a getaway or extended holiday stay. You and your guests will get to experience breathtaking views of Mount Mitchell and will get to see white-tailed deer, hummingbirds, and even salamanders. This cabin has plenty of space that you and your guests can enjoy during your time with us. All pets are welcome, now you have zero excuses not to stay with us!
In the kitchen area, you will find all of the essential kitchen utensils that you may need. There is also an original coffee maker, a Keurig, and a microwave available the dining room table is fully set up with placemats and a centerpiece
The living room area has multiple seating, a fireplace, and a flatscreen for your comfort! Imagine yourself lying on the couch, watching movies, making memories, and enjoying some relaxation and family time!
We also offer a kid-friendly haven, which is located on the bottom floor. This area includes custom-built woodland bunks with three twins, and an additional kid’s play table as well.
The first bedroom has a king-size bed, a flat-screen tv, an en-suite with a stone jacuzzi-style bathtub, and a travertine shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower/bathtub combination. The third bedroom on the lower level is a guest room- it has a log-style king-size bed.
High Rock Haven has an incredibly spacious front and backyard that you and your guests can roam freely on. We also have tons of seating on the back porch---Which is great for enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise or enjoying a nice book as the summer breeze washes over you. There is even a fire-pit and extra storage space on the lower level. You will have access to our jacuzzi, ping-pong table, pool table, and more!
During your stay with us, you can access many hiking trails and enjoy the beauty of nature at our cabin. We are located near so many fun and exciting attractions that the entire family can enjoy.
The cabin is within walking distance of one of the prettiest small towns in the country, Black Mountain NC. Here you and your guests can enjoy the town's art scene, local restaurants, music venues, breweries, family-owned businesses, and more!
There are also some amazing backdrops that would be perfect for photos! You’ll have everyone on your social media, wishing that they were there!
Even though you will have access to some of the hiking trails on our property, still check out Graybeard Trail and Lookout Trail. Here you will see extraordinary views of the Seven Sisters mountain range!
If you are looking to hear some live music, stop by “Pisgah Brewing Company” – here they have a rotation of different live acts that perform on their indoor stage when the weather isn’t the best and or on their larger outside stage during the spring and summer months. Plus the beer is great too! Another place with live music is “White Horse Black Mountain.” Here you’ll be able to listen to old-time mountain music and Appalachian sounds!

Gorgeous Home! High Rock Haven has all you could want for a mountain get-away for a big group of friends or family. And the views of Mt Mitchell off to the north are amazing. I highly recommend it if you are looking for that perfect get-away location for your next vacation! Family with no Children
Peaceful, lovely stay, great location! We absolutely love the town of Black Mountain, which is around 20 minutes from Asheville! It's about 15 minutes up the mountain to get to the cabin itself, which is big and beautiful with gorgeous long range mountain views! It was so welcoming, comfortable and homey, with a big wrap around porch with a hot tub. We enjoyed having breakfast outside on the porch. There is a grocery store at the base of the mountain, as well as plentiful and excellent restaurants and shopping. The location is very central to all the things one might want to do in the area, including visiting waterfalls, Biltmore, Omni Grove Park Inn, Chimney Rock, the Arboretum, etc. Although we didn't see any, neighbors from nearby cabins saw bears! If you want peace and quiet and to get away (while still being adequately close to Asheville area activities), this is a wonderful home base and home away from home! We loved it! Great stay! We had a great stay here with our four children and our dog. I was actually coming back to re-book and realized I hadn't left a review. This place was recommended to us by a friend, mountain cabins that are really nice are tricky to find. High Rock Haven fits the bill! Everything was clean and high quality, great beds, great linens, nicely outfitted kitchen. The basement game room was a huge hit with the kids as were the local walking trails. My husband and I loved the Dripolator coffee house at the bottom of the mountain and the easy access to downtown Black Mountain. You felt very private in the cabin but just popped down the mountain for groceries and restaurants. It was really a great stay! Family with young children
Highrock Haven was an amazing place for our family vacation. The home is beautiful, spacious and in a great location. Plenty of room for our family, including some extended family, to stay and enjoy. The property is lovely, and the views are wonderful. We had a very relaxing time on the property and enjoyed the town of Black Mountain, Chimney Rock and Asheville, just a short drive away. Great place to stay and get away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to do activities too. Hope to be back next year!
