Or, look for deer, birds, or other creatures as you hike around the 20-acre property.

There are rockers, an outdoor table, and a hot tub outside, so you can enjoy the weather no matter what time of the year it is, whether you want to soak in the summer sun or enjoy cool autumn air from a steamy tub. Other amenities include a smart TV and unlimited WiFi, so you don’t have to worry about waiting until you get home to update your Instagram feed or keep up with the latest episode of the show you are watching.

The cabin contains a queen-sized bed and plenty of storage space for any clothing you bought with you. There is also a bathroom with a shower.

Unique Features

The beautiful scenery offered from this cabin makes it the perfect place for an artist to stay. Get inspiration from the paintings hanging on the wall, left by previous guests, or by the drawings and accounts in the guest book. Then, let your muse take you where you need to go, whatever medium you wish to employ. This relaxing vacation home may be just what you need to ignite a creative spark.

Things To Do

Asheville is known for its eclectic art scene, beautiful hiking trails, and variety of tourist attractions. Try bellyak-ing, a sport founded in Asheville, in which participants paddle in boats laying on their stomachs, using the webbed gloves on their hands. Or, go canyoneering: head out for a hike in the beauty of nature, and rappel down sheer areas when needed with experienced guides. There is also falconry, foraging classes, zip-lining and more. If it has to do with a unique approach to enjoying nature, you will most likely have the opportunity to do it around the area.

Asheville has a variety of restaurants, breweries, cafes, and more to ensure that you have a plethora of dining options during your stay. Head to 12 Bones Smokehouse for a rack of ribs smoked in house. Or head to Rhubarb for a taste of good Appalachian food, along with good wine, beer, and cocktails. Alternatively, head to one of many local farmer’s markets to pick up delicious and fresh ingredients that you can use to make a meal at the kitchen back in the cabin.

Asheville is of course known for its arts, too: Don’t forget to check out the Asheville Art Museum, head to a performance showing during your visit, or buy a beautiful hand-crafted souvenir that you can take home with you.

10-15 minutes west of the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area too!

Reviews

The stars are very close up here. We love the mountains, this is a dream spot from which to enjoy them.
In this fast paced world it’s difficult to believe there are still places to get away from it all. This cabin is away from it all. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. It is good for body, mind and soul.
We had a wonderful relaxing vacation. It has been so peaceful here. We enjoyed sitting by the pond and taking the boat out.
This is truly heaven on earth. We truly hated to leave. The cabin is lovely and the view spectacular. But what we enjoyed the most was the hospitality of David and Kaye. They made us feel like old friends. My son will never forget this place. We really want to come back.
The cabin itself is so quaint, warm, and inviting. This area provides the perfect balance between fun and adventure and rest and relaxation.
We loved the cabin. It was a delightful surprise – close to everything, but away from everything.
We had a wonderful time staying in the cabin on the hill . . it was even better than we expected.
We had an amazing weekend here at the cabin! Thank you for this home away from home, the fun, and the memories we take with us.
It was great.
The Cabin on the Hill exceeded our expectations! What a perfect get-a-way. We are so thrilled about the whole experience. We hate to leave.
