All aboard this unique vacation rental at Buffalo Creek! This bright orange train caboose has been turned into a cozy train-themed cabin perfect for a small family to stay in! There is heating and A/C so you are sure to feel comfortable year around here.
A full kitchen provides the space to whip up some home cooking or take the meal outdoors to the charcoal grill. There is plenty of room out on the large deck to enjoy a picnic-style meal on the patio table. There are two flat-screen TVs available in the cabin to keep everyone entertained while indoors, but after a fun movie, let the kids burn off their extra energy outside.
It is just a hop and a skip to the nearby playground where kids can scale a rock wall and slice through the air on a small zip line!
Sleeping arrangement: Though it might look small from the outside, there is plenty of room to sleep 5 people in the Orange Caboose. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed that can sleep 2 adults, and there is a fun loft that sleeps 2 children in a full-sized bed. There is also a twin-size sleeper sofa that sleeps one more. A full bathroom offers a place to clean up after a fun day, and even has heated tile flooring!

Your pup will enjoy the many new scents while you take in the unique view this caboose offers. You can watch the bison roam right out your window and enjoy the rolling green landscape!
Things To Do
Continue your train-themed vacation at Agapeland Station at Buffalo Creek resort where a 30x50 model train layout shows how railroads service America. Kids can enjoy a scavenger hunt while wandering through the display and can earn a free prize at the end! Kids and adults alike will enjoy the community game room just below the exhibit. In the mornings on the main ranch, everyone is welcome to help feed the bison and the many other barn animals that call this place home.
If you visit in December, bundle up and wander around the grounds. Buffalo Creek spares no effort in decorating the property for Christmas! Afterward, take the family snow tubing or skiing! In the hot summer months, local swimming holes like Sliding Rock and Skinny Dip Falls provide a great place to cool off. Get dirty digging for treasured jewels at the Asheville-Biltmore gem mining location or saddle up and take a horseback ride around the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
There is truly something for everyone to do while visiting the area!

This place was awesome. The Caboose was so much fun to stay in. My 4 year old son loved the copula and looking out the windows at the Bison. The property is great too – we loved hiking to the playground. Must hike up to the tire swing and tether ball too – so worth it! You don’t find tire swings like that any more
Buffalo Creek Vacations is a family owned & operated business. Our dad, along w/ our mom, Harriet Clackett, made the move to the beautiful Smoky Mountains in 1994. We all just fell in love with the area & all that it has to offer from hiking & waterfalls in the summer to the beautiful foliage in the fall, skiing in the winter & new baby bison being born in the springtime.
We also purchased several cabooses that were relocated to the property & we renovated them and started renting them out! We hope you love the mountains like we have all come to!
