This beautiful mountain lodge is very private and provides all the amenities you’d need for an amazing time. Right off the porch, there is a charcoal grill and a fire pit ideal for s’mores! Follow the porch all the way around the traditionally styled log cabin and enjoy the property’s view from all sides.
Inside, an open floor plan makes it easy to enjoy the wood-burning fireplace from any spot in the bungalow. The fireplace is dual-sided so you can even enjoy the warm fire in the bedroom! A flat-screen TV sits above the fireplace in both the living room and bedroom so pick out a movie and curl up with your Honey wherever you’d like.
Sleeping arrangement: The one-bedroom cottage hosts a lavish king-size canopy bed, and right off the bedroom is a full bath with heated tile flooring. A custom shower with dual shower heads provides visitors luxury even in the bathroom! If you would prefer to soak, the private hot tub is located right through the bathroom door on the covered deck. There is not a better place for two!
Challenge your partner to a round of foosball or shoot some pool in the game room downstairs. There is also a dartboard to enjoy! After a day of activities, relax every muscle in your body inside the steamy sauna then you and your partner can take turns laying out on the massage table.

For an outdoor adventure, look into white water rafting at Nantahala or riding a zip line at Wild Water Adventures! WOW. Buffalo Bungalow certainly exceeded our expectations, what an amazing place to get away and relax!! My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon very much at this perfect, little piece of paradise tucked away in the mountains. We can’t stop raving about how wonderful the cabin and property was to all our family and friends! Everything was so clean, neat, and intentional. The owners do everything they can to make you feel relaxed and at home! We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub, making a couple campfires, and just being surrounded by the stunning mountains every day. Amazing. Exploring the property, the farm, and feeding the animals was so much fun!! Best vacation we’ve ever had. Literally, the only thing that could’ve been better with the cabin was the water pressure on the one shower head. That’s it, though. Everything was so beyond perfect! When we saw the Highland oxen as we pulled in we knew we were in for a surprise and it didn’t end there! In addition to the unique animals which included American bison, llamas, and mini-horses we were engrossed in the beauty of the surrounding mountain sides with well constructed and comfortable cabins nestled among them. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the up close viewing of several amazing animals! Our cabin was clean, had ample space for our family and just the right amenities so as to make the stay enjoyable. The fire pits were great for roasting marshmallows and good conversation while the Jacuzzi under the moonlight was a relaxing end to our day! — Dee from Florida
Cheryl was very helpful when we booked the vacation, answering all our questions. When we arrived our two young kids didn’t want to leave the cabin at first (the game room was great, and even has a pet cage if you bring four legged family members) but we finally got them to head up to the feeding coral and watched the bison eat breakfast, then they fed the goats and mini horses before the short hike up the hill to the fun playground. The setting is very rustic and peaceful, with good views and a very smoky mountain feel. The staff was friendly and helpful

Buffalo Creek Vacations is a family owned & operated business. Our dad, along w/ our mom, Harriet Clackett, made the move to the beautiful Smoky Mountains in 1994. We all just fell in love with the area & all that it has to offer from hiking & waterfalls in the summer to the beautiful foliage in the fall, skiing in the winter & new baby bison being born in the springtime.
We also purchased several cabooses that were relocated to the property & we renovated them and started renting them out! We hope you love the mountains like we have all come to!
