Escape the hustle and bustle of city life at Gili's Cove Cottage, our cozy mountain cabin nestled on the banks of Tusquittee Creek. Wake up to the sound of birdsong and the babbling creek, and enjoy your morning coffee on the back porch while gazing at the stunning mountain views. Go fishing in the creek or the pond, hike in the national forests, or simply relax in the hammock and watch the sunset. Gili's Cove is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.
Our cabin is located on a quiet dead-end road with only a few other homes. The property is surrounded by an acre of flowering trees and shrubs, and we own the land between the cabin and the cabin next door, so you can enjoy complete privacy. The cabin has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large open plan living area with a wall of windows that overlooks the creek and mountains. There is also a screened-in porch where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors.
This two-bedroom, two-bath cottage sleeps six and has a split plan for privacy. The living room has a gas fireplace heater and two comfy recliners. The family room has a wall of windows overlooking the creek, with an oversized counter and wet bar. The all-season porch is screened in summer, but when the weather gets cool, the 360-degree windows allow you to still enjoy the porch. The kitchen is large, open and bright, and is fully equipped to handle meals for family gatherings.
Bedroom 1 has a beautiful oak sleigh bed with a brand new queen mattress and boxspring, and luxurious hotel-quality linens. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both bedrooms have new mattresses and bedding, and new wall-to-wall carpeting. The bathrooms are impeccably clean, with brand-new toilets, large vanities, and plenty of fluffy towels. The futon in the family room sleeps 2.

Hayesville, NC is a great place to go hiking, whitewater rafting, or take scenic drives. You can also visit Lake Chatuge, Dry Falls, or the Copper Door restaurant.
Hiking: The area is home to many hiking trails, including the AT Approach Trail, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, and Cataloochee Valley.
Whitewater rafting: The Nantahala and Ocoee Rivers offer whitewater rafting trips for all levels.
Scenic drives: The Cherohala Skyway and Mountains Waters Scenic Byway offer stunning views of the mountains.
Lake Chatuge: Lake Chatuge is a great place to go boating, fishing, or swimming.
Dry Falls: Dry Falls is a unique waterfall where you can walk behind the falls.
The Copper Door: The Copper Door is a fine dining restaurant with a focus on fresh seafood and dry-aged steaks.
Fires Creek Wildlife Management Area is a hidden gem for trout fishing. The creek is located 10 minutes from the cabin and boasts ten miles of pristine trout waters. For a taste of real small-town America, visit Hayesville, which was voted one of the "Nicest Places in America." Visit the local museums, shops, and galleries, and enjoy a pizza lunch at Angelo's. Take Tusquittee Road back to the cabin and stop at SMM Farms for fresh strawberries and corn.

Cleanliness was top notch! Kitchen was very well stocked with good quality pots and accessories. Host went above and beyond and had a special surprise for all 4 of our kids and us! The house has everything you can think of. We have zero issues with this property. We went to fish and the fishing wasn’t the greatest at the time but we still enjoyed ourselves. Very easy to get to and had beautiful landscaping and a view of the creek. Perfect place to get away and escape. Host was very friendly and met us there to give us the keys and a tour. 100% recommend this house for a Hayesville stay!! Thanks again for letting us stay there. Heather & Chase G.
Truly a tranquil place! Gili’s Cove Cottage is truly a tranquil place. The stream, ponds and walking trails make Gili’s Cottage a perfect spot for kids and adults alike. The cabin is extremely clean and everything we could possibly need was provided for our stay. The hospitality of Linda and Jorge was, by far, superb.
